Current Job Title:
Guest Member of Staff Newcastle University
Industry:
Water
Location:
Newcastle upon Tyne (North East)

I have recently completed a contract as an employee of Dr Richard Johnson of MNV Consulting in Callander, Scotland as an Environmental Hydrologist and am looking to take the next step to further my career in this field. As I am aware of the current situation in the job market I am currently continuing to gain more experience in the area as a guest member of staff at Newcastle University where I am assisting my colleagues in various research projects on a voluntary basis. My educational background consists of an MSc in Sustainable Management of the Water Environment and a BSc in Geography both at Newcastle University. Further detail can be found in my CV.

I have always had a keen interest in conservation and the environment and wherever possible I have always strived to improve my knowledge in these fields. My choice of MSc has resulted in the focus of my interests towards the sustainable management of water resources whether it is in terms of water supply and demand management, flood management or whole basin management. As a result I am extremely interested in following a career in such areas and this has been confirmed by my experience so far. My time at MNV Consulting has helped to introduce me to the nature of environmental consultancy and as such I have begun to gain an appreciation of what is involved in this area of employment. I would like to bring your attention to my CV which highlights my skills and experience developed so far in the use of various computer models, hydrological data analysis and field based skills that I feel are a good basis with which to enter the field of water resource management.
